Help Radio Inquiry

MY GOOD FRIEND HAD A 2005 DODGE RAM 1500 QUAD CAB, He is giving me his old factory radio
And I have and 2006 Dodge ram 1500 SLT Quad cab. is there away I can hook his radio and harness up to my truck? ( my truck was broken into and they cut my factory Radio harness) (for a look back on my Dodge ram) I Told him if you can locate the plug from the radio to the firewall you can unplug it from there?
Am I wrong? can this be done? Thank you in advance

As far as I know that radio won’t work, it is a completely different radio and dash. Oem radios for an 06 are pretty cheap on eBay. Or it might be a good opportunity to go with an aftermarket setup, get Bluetooth and maybe a touchscreen.

I do have and ATOTO A6 2DIN Android Car Navigation Stereo with Dual Bluetooth - Standard A6Y2710SB 1GB+16GB Car Entertainment Multimedia Radio,WiFi/BT Tethering But my steering wheel volume and cruise control isn't working then I had the ABS Speed senor replace and my mech said it wont clear the ABS Brake until I get the right wiring
