Hi guys, it’s been a while since I’ve been on this forum. I sold my 2016 Ram 1500 Express years ago for a ‘21 Silverado Trail Boss.

Recently my father in law gifted my 15 year old son his 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 ST 4.7L quad cab 4x4. It’s got 107k miles on it and it’s in rough shape but it’s free. We are going to rebuild the truck because it’s still cheaper to rebuild a free truck than to buy a used truck for the same money and then still have problems.

Anyhow, I am currently rebuilding the entire front end suspension and while I’m waiting for parts from Rock Auto I did some rust cleanup.

I accidentally wore a hole in this line that I assume is a vacuum line and can’t figure out what it is and what to call it to replace it.

Also a finished picture of the cleanup. Currently waiting for new upper and lower control arms to go with the Rancho 2” leveling struts we bought as well as all new everything else.

The part with the hole in it is the vapor purge harness:

Or, since it is a very low pressure vacuum line, you could cut it and slip the cut ends into a hose section, then secure it with 2 spring clamps.

That's exactly what I'd do, but don't be tempted to seal it with silicone, it doesn't mix well with gas fumes
