Hey everyone, asking a question to the alfa users that know their way around here

I need to desperately view my CVIs, as i need to know my trans health and if it’s worth it to rebuild it myself yet.

I tried using AlfaOBD with selecting RAM 1500 DS/DX/DT -> Engine -> Chrysler PowerTech/Pentastar/World/HEMI V6/V8 to no avail, just engine diagnostics with like 3 things relating to the trans which don’t help out at all as it’s just voltage to the LPS.

I selected “Diesel Cummins MY2013-17” with my scan tool disconnected and i went to the page that looks like a heartbeat monitor, and it showed everything i needed, yet i tried to connect and it connected to the PowerTech side.

If anyone can offer help or another app i could buy to view these, it’d offer me major help. Thank you.

This application won't help with your transmission. It's alters BCM functions not TCM

Do you have the 8 speed? try going to the "gearbox" selection instead of engine and see what that gives you for PID's

You might re-post your question in the AlphaOBD thread, may get more visibility? https://www.ramforum.com/threads/alfaobd.123982

I was able to get a lot more information when i looked around and found another app, called OBD Jscan. For whatever reason Alfa only allows you to view transmission data for the Diesels and for the 8 speeds. Thank you!

I didn’t need it to alter TCM functions, i needed it to VIEW TCM functions, which it was able to do in Alfa but it was only available for Diesels.

Reach out to the developer. Explain your situation they may have a beta version of what you're looking for
