Hemi Throttle body Cleaning

I Just did my 5.7 yesterday and it took me all of 25 minutes. The differance in the idle and Throttle response is great! Agin it was , by far, the easiest thing that I have done on the Truck!!!!

All, I cleaned my 2004 TB reassembled and now when engine is cranked for first time each morning the engine races to 2800 rpm then settles out . Any ideas as to what I need to check or adjust if adjustable?

Did you do this procedure after reinstalling the TB?

THROTTLE BODY RESET PROCEDURE


If the throttle body has been changed, the following
procedure must be performed:

a. Disconnect negative battery cable from battery.
Leave cable disconnected for approximately 90
seconds.

b. Reconnect cable to battery.

c. Turn ignition switch ON, but do not crank
engine.

d. Leave ignition switch ON for a minimum of 10
seconds. This will allow PCM to learn throttle
body electrical parameters.

Did mine tonight. Did the battery reset and no lights came on very easy job

Thanks Harley Harrold, I tried removing the battery cable again just in case I went to fast the first time and still have the issue. I plan to remove the throttle body again to inspec the gasket and make sure I reinstalled it correctly.

Needs a good cleaning but couldnt get the FBW clip off....

If my shotgun sells I might buy a ported TB. What would the new TB do for me? Any suggestions to get the clip off? Looks like someone else tried and broke part of the plastic lol.

Any way to clean out the intake manifold? Looks all ****tied up in there.

throttle body spacers

having trouble since installing my 5.7 spacer help please sorry im new here and don't know where to write my post

What sort of trubbles? Give us Description of the symptoms. Any info will help. Did you make sure everything went back together when you competed the install?

Just did this to my wife's 4.7 durango. Much better throttle response and idle. Next will be my rig

Just did mine!! My power came back hahahaha. No more annoying lightning bolts. 184k on this 03 ram and still rinnig strong....after the tb cleanup lol
