Looking for black hid halo cones for my black Spyder halo head lights and didnt see anything on their web site or eBay? Only found a chrome set on eBay?? Next question they just slide in from the back? Don’t have to tear my headlights apart or anything to install them?? 2.5 or 3”? Never used these so curious if it will tighten up my “spot” on my lights??

Isn’t there like a sleeve you slide over your bulb to tighten up the spot on a hid bulb?? Thought I saw a thread one time a while back? Or am I nuts? Lol

Are you talking about projectors? Or shrouds?

I haven’t seen those sleeves in years. My HID kit that I got for my motorcycle 6-10 years ago came with a metal sleeve that slid over the bulb, before you put the bulb in the light housing. They were designed to attempt to not blind oncoming traffic when you put HIDs in halogen housings. They never worked for me...

Is that what you are talking about? If so, I haven’t seen any kits come with those anymore.

This is tough to follow lol.... The shrouds go over the projector(round shiny part in the front)

The "sleeve" if I am reading you correctly, is part of the projector assembly and comes all together. There is a nut that goes on the back of the projector as it is pushes through the headlight OEM hole that the original OEM bulb use to go. After the projector is pushed through that hole, the nut is put on through the back of the headlight housing to tighten the projector to the headlight housing.

Hope this makes sense.

Gotcha! You got what i’m Saying now. Lol thank you. Sorry for confusion. So what i’m Asking now is do the projectors help with the sharpness of the beam of my headlights? Is that their function? They worth it?? My spot on my Spyder Halo headlights is kinda spread out....not terrible but not a direct beam. Just looking to improve them a hair if possible.

They won't show so much of a beam per say, like spot light, but there should be a focus point or hotspot of each projector. It should be right at the cutoff line on each projector. Function wise, they project a lot of light forward and outward BUT the cutoff line prevents blinding people with the bightness from the hid. Win/win.

I absolutely think their worth it. Once you've had a projector/hid setup, you'll never be happy with anything else again.

Absolutely worth every penny. a quality projector will put the light where it is supposed to be. you will get a nice wide even pattern with a sharp cutoff. its a major upgrade in light output.

If you are interested we carry all The Retrofit Source products. We can offer a full kit to upgrade your housing if you want to do it yourself.
