So. I tried to tackle a new project this past week.. With help and advice from other threads here, I managed to crack open my headlights and paint the guts a gloss black to match the truck. While I had these out I decided to put in some HIDs!

Problem: I hadn’t seen anyone on here running two sets of HIDs, both for high and low beams (I have the quad lamps) so I’m not sure if that is something I should be doing… I tried this set up.

Initially every light turned on. Put the driver side headlight back into place and the lows/highs worked when queued. Sweet! Put the passenger side in, they worked too. Started up the truck and began to drive home…

The lows stopped coming on entirely, so I drove with the highs. They worked for a few minutes then the driver side turned off and the passenger side was flickering… suddenly, lights out. Luckily, I still have my fogs so I was able to get home safe, thank you lord baby Jesus.

SO! WTF guys, what happened?? This is my first experience with HIDs. Am I not supposed to be doing both highs and lows? It doesn’t make sense to me at all, this is why I do not mess with electrical ANYTHING!!
My kits were from Xenon, locally bought. Both 6k @ 35W.
Has anyone had this issue, or do y’all know what I can do to fix this tragedy? Anything helps! I have been a lurker for a couple years now, but I am a huge fan to the site. I know, I know.. I should’ve just got hooked up with JJ in the first place… Next time.
