I went the opt7 route and had issues. There fogs arent the best. I got some hid's for fogs and could use them all the time theyre so bright.

Hi, I just found this thread and have a few questions.... I am looking at replacing my low beams.

on the HID side
1) with the factory projectors I have heard that you are risking damaging the projector due to the excess heat?
2)How do you deal with the light going out when the signal light goes on?

On the LED side-
1) If the light has the fan (opt-7) do you cut a hole in the dust cover in the back of the lamp, and if so, how do you keep dust and moisture out?
2) Does anyone have any experience with the braided heatsinks, is so do you put them inside the housing or would you cut a hole and put it through the dust cover?

Your using Auto Led's kits? So the fogs aren't worth it then?
Im running opt7, the fogs are the cheaper ones that opt7 recommends, i think they're only rated at about 700 lumens, but even the highs which are supposed to be around 3500 when hit the high beams they almost completely overpower the leds, stock halogen highs
