HID problems

When I left and turned on my lights both my hid headlights were working. I had to drive through a portion of the storm that hit Michigan last Sunday and later on the drive I noticed neither headlight was working. After switching them on and off a few times they came back on. But now I have no headlights and they won't turn on at all. I have the relay set up and I've checked my connections and relay and it all seemed good. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had issues like this. Also what is the best way to check the ballasts to see if they are working

Have a multimeter? Then I would put it right on the connector the feeds each ballast. If it has consistent 12 volts at both connectors then its either the ballast or the bulb. You can swap but that is the quickest way. Start there and report back.

is it a plain relay harness or is it for the canbus system?

Sorry its taken me awhile to respond. I rechecked my wiring and fuses and noticed on the relay working harness the relay looked a bit corroded, it still clicked when power went to it so I didn't think that was the problem, but upon closer review it was corroded. After I replaced the relay the lights turned right on. Thanks for the help

If it happens again, just switch the suspect bulb to the other side. That will quickly root out if the bulb is the problem.
