Well ladies and gents, the 04 is gone. Was a great truck and I did well on it, but it was finally time for it to go. So the hunt began and I located a 2006 Mega with 115k on the clock (funny since I sold mine with 115k). So I drove six hours in this:

Just to look at the truck. Looking back I was at a disadvantage seeing as how the dealer knew I didn't drive that far to kick tires. Also, I will never buy a truck with snow on the ground unless it is brand freakin' new. Few things I missed that I'm not happy the dealer didn't have the courtesy to point out. Ohh well. Any way after spending some time, I finally got the keys.

The eventual mod list is very extensive small taste.

For now the grille will be color matched and the chrome on the laramie bumper will be black. Eventually I want to switched the front end to the 03-05 front end.

-Custom built console that in progress right now.
-Straight pipe
-Intake
-3" Carli Starter Kit
-20x10 Wheels and 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers
-Tint
-Line-X
-08.5 Steering upgrade

Future:
Built Transmission and start adding serious power. Don't want to start though until I have the money for the transmission.

Disappointed thought because whoever had it before me used the door the help them get in and out...B@stards.

Thanks Wendy. Had to drive north of you to get it. The 04 came from Taylorville, this one came from El Paso.

Nice man. But why switch to the 03-05 front? I like this better.

Also, what part of MO are you from?

Like it better. Don't like the 06-08. Lights are too big for my liking. I think the 03-05 fit these trucks better. JMO though.

Columbia area.

Nice lookin CTD you got there!

Does suck though when you drive from so far because the dealer knows you really want that truck and won't bend as much.

love it! i just got into an 05 qcsb 5.9... same issue with the previous owner lifting themselves in on the door... pretty sure a new pin and bushing may improve the door alignment.
3 inch carli kit is sweet. i just finished last weekend doing my thuren setup and the ride is easily 5x better than stock.
08.5 steering is signifagantly better as well.
any how good luck with the new toy ill be watching your thread.
and if you ever wanna swap front ends lemme know haha. im a fan of the 06-09.
