Will do. I'll see if its not pouring out tomorrow. What I'll do is take a video so you can see exactly how everything was ran. If someone sees a better way, please inform me, thanks!

Where did you source your wire and hardware?

Thanks hombré

The wire is from Rockville but I got it from ebay a bit cheaper. you might be able to source 1/0 welding cable for less so give that a shot. I got the Temco 3/8 copper plugs from ebay as well as the 3M shrink tubes from there as well. I got this stuff while there was like 15% off, I used Ebates and I had some ebay bucks so it came out super cheap. you can look around for similar stuff and it might be cheaper. I'm going to be doing some jumper cables and such so I got more stuff than needed for the big 3 upgrade

Wire (they don't have my listing anymore but this is more than enough)

No problem. Put up a link to the kit you got to give others different options.

Any other options for cutting/crimping - I'm usually not one to cheap out on tools - just the opposite. But $50 for something I'll probably only ever use once I"m not wild about

This. I’m going to find an alternate tool than that.

I found the crimper is recognized as one of the better ones, and can be bought for around $20 separately. Channel Lock also makes the 911 cutter which will cut up to 4/0-2/0, and can be had for $15-$20 as well. So that's a bit cheaper by about $10 I guess.

I've got some older Channel Lock tools and they are solid, made in USA tools.

I also noticed I am missing the little black caps that cover the bolts on the fuses off the post terminal - anyone know of a good source for those w/o buying a 100pk

Not to be a **** but this stuff, Rockville, appears to be CCA (copper clad aluminum) and not OFC (oxygen free copper) as Amazon stated in one of the asked questions. I don't know about anyone else but if I do this, I'm using copper. I've never been a fan of aluminum in wiring where I had a choice.
That’s not *******

But please explain why. Why is that bad?

Thanks

It is CCA, its 30% copper as opposed to the 15% (or less) regular CCA uses. Yes, OFC is best and its also a good $3.50 a foot for 1/0 gauge at the cheap. Now, OFC is better, especially for audio but this is a grounding kit and almost ALL of them are CCA. On top of this at 1/0 CCA it is overkill for most big 3 kit applications.

Oh, I hears ya. don't forget I didn't pay this I had all sorts of discounts and ebay bucks. I am still going to use this at some point in time so I don't mind having more tools...I have a disease.

I always cut my cable with a cutoff wheel. Best way to do it as it doesn’t pull on the wire and deform it. Don’t crimp. Use a MAP gas and solider with solder terminals and do it right. Doesn’t get cheaper than that.

right, doesn't get cheaper than that if you received your gas canister, torch, cut off wheel and solder for free! lol.

Well, mostly just personal preference really. It stems back to an incident involving aluminum wiring in a house when I was very young.
More practical though, aluminum is only about 60% as conductive as copper. I can buy cables professionally made, from 99.9% pure annealed electrolytic copper, in the lengths and gauge the OP listed for about $65. For me, based on the homework I did, there is just no good reason for aluminum (or CCA).

This is in no way a knock on the OP, I appreciate his posting about doing this upgrade!
