I have seen one other thread about this topic, but I wanted to see if there are still more people with this same issue out there.
When I open my hood after a decent rain in the Northwest there is water in the hood liner that drains out of the hole by the light and dumps about 2 to 3 ounces of water on my RAM 2500 Tradesman 6.7 diesel engine. I talked to the dealer who opened a few RAM hoods and said the same thing was happening. He talked to Service and they said that it was not that big of an issue. Maybe I have more water then the ones they looked at, but dumping cold water on a hot engine does not seem like a good idea and I want to get it fixed. I have the cheap foam sticky pads on both sides of the plastic sealer up by the windshield and a small pin size drain hole.
Has anyone been experiencing this recently? Any recommendations for fixing it? I saw one post that used black caulking and also drilled out the drain hole.
