Has anybody else had water pump leak issues in their 2500 gas?

I took it for a warranty repair about 6 months ago. 3 weeks later, coolant was spewing all over the engine bay. I took it back for warranty repair and things were good for about 2,000 miles, and then it started leaking again. I took it in for a 3rd time and this time they had a Dodge engineer come to see what was going on, and they used a different radiator hose to the water pump. It's been about 1,000 miles since that fix. I think it's holding so far, but I think there may have been a couple of small drips of coolant under the engine. Ever since I bought this truck new in 2022, I have been able to smell a light hint of coolant when I walk in front of the hot engine bay.

Just curious if anybody else has had any issues with coolant leaks at the water pump?

Mine is a 5.7, I'm assuming yours is a 6.4. Might be the same pump though. Either way, the WP is pretty easy to see and you should be able to see where the coolant is coming from if the WP is in fact leaking. Check around the perimeter and around the pulley shaft for leaks, as well as all of the hose connections. And while you're there you might as well put a wrench on the idler to take tension off the belt, and check the WP bearing for any play (wiggle up and down, should have no movement).

If you see any leaks or have any play and need it replaced, only use OEM replacements. Aftermarket is trash.

Everyone of my FCA vehicles has that slight hint of anti freeze smell from under the hood. All of them were bought new. I dont however have any drips showing on my garage floor.
