How do I get air out of the cooling system on 2015 2500 6.4 gas Laramie ?

Hello, my name is Greg. Had a small leak I have it fixed but feel like there is still air in the system.
How do I get air out of the cooling system on 2015 2500 6.4 gas Laramie ?

I found his online it might help. Old school way was to remove radiator cap and let the engine idle until the thermostat opens, then add coolant until it refills. Most of the air will bubble out.

Thanks guys, but my problem is there is no cap on the radiator it’s on the over flow which is up on the firewall on the passenger side of the engine compartment . So I should still open cap and let it idle ?

I only use a vacuum lift tool since it's so fool proof. I had the Lisle funnel but still had it overflow when there's lots of air.
Look for you tube videos for UView Airlift.

your suppose to use a vacuum tool. but nobody ever does. so they have air stuck in the system and cant imagine why
