I am trying to figure out how to wire 2x16 LED lights into my hi beams without having an extra switch in the middle. I don't use my hi beams much except when I'm in the mountains. Any ideas?

You would need a relay and use the +wire to the high beam as your trigger wire instead of a separate switch. However I would suggest just using a switch to power the relay. Also. Are the high beams not bright enough? Or what’s the purpose of the extra led lights

In the mountains it gets very dark at night. Especially when there is no moon. Would the relay be a 4 pin or 5 pin?

I highly advise you to wire in a switch to enable/disable on with high beams as well. That way if you ever need to you can have Just high beams. I wired mine off the high beam trigger from the BCM, that enables a relay for the aux lights and I have a switch inline where I can disable if need be. I also have it wired to my aux switch panel so I can operate them individually but you probably don't need that. I'll try and post up the diagram when I get home later.

Here is a quick diagram I threw together to give you an idea... This has a switch to disable the LEDs if you should ever want just high beams. I think it's a good idea just in case.

I had a light bar wired into my high beams like this. Just spliced in the positive from the bar into the power wire going into your high beam bulb. It worked fine. It was very convenient to be able to just hit the high beams when I wanted it on instead of trying to fumble and find a switch.

I eventually installed a switch though. Installed it right on the dash next to my turn signal switch. Still close and easy and now runs on it's own relay and wiring. Just seemed to be a safer option instead of adding extra loads into the trucks computers and sensors. I felt like I was asking for trouble.

If you have factory fog lights that only turn on with the low beams you can wire two relays in series to the high beam circuit and the fog lights. Then use JSCAN to enable fog lights with high beams.

Then you can use the stock fog light switch to control the aux light bar. Low beams and fog lamps will work like normal and high beams will work like normal but high beams + fog lights will also turn on the aux light bar
