I'm aware. My responses are in reply to comments about the steel being coated by the composite which is backwards. The steel is on the outside.
These are made of steel with a composite coating.
I give up !!! :)
I have no idea what the webbing or all those pocket dividers are. I am saying the upper is steel and it is coated. You can not coat plastic with steel in this configuration. But,,, you can coat steel with a composite, it is done with heat, pressure, and vacuum.
Y'all have a good day, what little brain I have hurts! :)

I’ve had 3 5.7 Rams, a 2003,2013 and a 2024
I went to test drive a 25 Hurricane and loved it. Had it since November, once small glitch with the door locks, but it’s been great. I don’t drive much anymore so I only have 2k on it. Runs nice and quiet which I like since I had a Borla exhaust on the 2013.

The coating on the steel is paint. The steel arms are either used as a mold (doubtful) or the composite is molded separately and attached to the inner surface of the arm and then the bosses that protrude through it are melted to hold it in place, sort of like a rivet.

I have been looking at the 2025 Rams recently and considering one with a Hurricane motor. Currently I have 1500 crew cab with the 3.6 6 cylinder motor. No complaints with the motor but I do miss the hemi motor that this truck replaced. Can anyone give a comparison of the Hurricane vs. the Hemi motor. All replies appreciated.

Rick
I have had the new 3.0 motor and I don't have any complaints it but I do have electrical problems. It has more power than the 2021 hemi I had for the same gas mileage 18 mpg around town I haven't been on any highway

You might want to take another look at them. You can clearly see the core is composite and the outer shell or stamping is steel
Thank you for this, now we have proof, see plastic on the inside with a steel shell on the outside making it magnetic to a magnet, the underside cross ribs are plastic I'm sure they think it's for strength? I was called a liar for this and causing trouble, it's nothing but a conspiracy. NOW read it, see it and shut the**** up!!!!

What electrical problems are you having? Harness related?

I-6 Hurricane (Standard Output)
I bought a 2025 Ram 1500 Warlock; this was one of the cheapest options to get a bigger cab outside of the Tradesman and lacks some of the options my old 1500 Classic Lonestar had. My son is 5' 10" tall and his knees would hit the rear of the front seats on my 2019 Ram 1500 Classic (quad cab) and that was the only reason I upgraded. 2,000 miles so far have been problem free (fingers crossed). We immediately took it on a road trip across the Texas summer heat (north to south and back) and it has plenty of immediate responsive power...super quiet...almost feels electric!

I came from a '22 Trailboss with a 2.7 Turbo High Output. The only things I miss about that truck are the bench seats and the turbo whistle.

Before I upgraded to a '23 5.7 with eTorque, I test drove a 2025 with the Hurricane engine. It definitely has more power; very capable engine. The only thing that kept me from buying it was the sound. I literally made the decision on sound alone.

If I were in the market to upgrade, I wouldn't go for a Hurricane, instead, I would go with a new loaded 2025-2026 Ramcharger (EV).
Sorry, not buying the Hurricane due to "sound alone" and then opting for an EV...kind of a contradiction...just saying? Unless you want that fake manufactured Hemi sound?

Two months in with 3,500 miles and impressed. Very smooth and quiet. At idle, can’t tell the motor is on. The delayed boost takes getting use to vs the hemi. This is my first turbo motor.

This is the best road trip motor and suspension combo I have ever driven. Ram put together a winning package. Interior is very quiet.

Couple things I don’t like. Parking in reverse is touchy. Ether not moving or way too fast. 35” tires probably contribute.

The “burps” hitting redline sound amazing. High rpm start up, not so much. Sounds farty. Not pleasant.

Turbo lag is one of the biggest downsides of the driving experience with turbos. I've never owned an automatic transmission *and* turbo equipped motor, with a manual it's easy to downshift and spool it up before you swing out to pass or whatever. I guess you can manually do the same with forcing the auto to shift? Obviously sometimes you don't know you're going to need to punch it ahead of time, but for things like passing on a 2 lane you can spool up before your opening.

From a launch, it's usually not a big deal. Kicking down to pass, though, I didn't like the wait for auto tranny to downshift, turbo to spool up, then the power comes on. I haven't driven the Hurricane/8A though so maybe it's not as bad as the ones I've tried before.

Ya may like to try out using T/H mode to see if you can get a better/faster response from the transmission & turbos, I run T/H mode with my CTD when city driving so that I can get a better response time from my transmission that in turns helps my turbo to spool faster...
