rear door can probably be straightened, the front one looks a little too creased to try and pull but I guess it's possible.

Definitely going to have to paint the front door which means they really should probably paint that entire side of the truck.

Let me know what you think... And in case any one was wandering, those little yellow poles around the fire hydrants.... Yeah , they protect the hydrant very well

Yeah, I think the back door is fixable, front not so much, I doubt they paint the side of the truck just because it is a new truck, less the 4k miles...

Front door skin and rear door reshaping and paint, maybe even a new step bar? A good shop will run around $3000. You could go cheaper, but who wants that?

Yeah, I got an appt for the 18 th to get an estimate

the 18th?!...yikes....who's your insurance company? Last June I had my truck less than a month and some idiot woman literally drove right into the side of it while in a parking garage. From the day of the accident to the day I got the truck back fixed was less than a week! Yeah, I was surprised too.:)

Yeah, I want to take it to the dealer I bought it from and the insurance rep is only there on Wednesday.. And of course this wen she was booked.. They did tell me when I drop it off that they would more then likely just keep it.

I disagree with painting the entire side. Because i was a victim of a hit and run, they must have had a work truck with all the welding gear on the back because I had a gouge all the way down the side of my bed as well as a nice dent.

I decided to go to the more "mom and pop" body shop because I had a buddy that worked there but not only that but I had a horrible exp. with the "best" body shop in town(mismatched the color and wouldn't redo it, not completely fixing the bumper mount[it was a Scion xD.])

The mom and pop shop just popped the dent, filled in the gouge, and repainted it. Color matched it perfectly and only costed me $700.

Mind you I live in North Dakota right in the middle of the Bakker oil boom do everything is expensive up here. And the "best" shop in town quoted me with doing the same job at $1400.

There are lots of different ways to do body work. Painted well, they will all look good.....for a while. Some guys just don't want bondo on their truck and want the metal actually repaired/replaced. Looks the same right after painting, but costs more and will still look right years down the road.
