How much to lift

Can I get a 35 in tire on a 2wd mega cab with out lifting it or will a 3 inch leveling kit be enough

You're definitely going to have to lift to stuff 35's under there. A 3" level is probably towards the lower end of what will clear those tires, and it will depend on your rim backspacing & tire width as well. In general, going wider than that (without crazy backspacing/offset) is where most guys start to see rubbing.
