Also, anyone do this in a 2015 yet?

Yup, did it to my 2015 2500 tradesman. I used one from a 2013. Everything works except the tpms. No warning lights from it just doesn't read it.

I figured that might happen. Wonder if the TPMS would work with a 2014 cluster.

For some reason the sensors are read only by the cluster. I don't remember if the tpms are the same as the 14's

Somewhere back in this thread someone mentioned the 13s caused TPMS issues but the 14s didnt...I think that was for a 2014, not sure if a 14 cluster would have any trouble in a 15

I'm not concerned about it. I'm running aftermarket wheels and tires at a lower pressure so it's one less headache to deal with

At one point in time someone had a problem either the TPMS not reading. They said the cause was a 2013 cluster in a 2014 truck with incompatible TPMS sensors.

I and several others have used 2013 clusters in later years vehicles without any TPMS issues.

Yeah that was the guy I sold the 2013 cluster. He kept getting TPMS warnings even though his tires were inflated correctly. I took the cluster back and sold it to somebody else. They had no trouble with it.

Have any of you tried using the reset function in the cluster itself? Mine was giving me a "SERVICE AIR SUSPENSION" message as well as no compass, the reset cured both of these issues, no more message and the compass shows up.

Just wondering if this would cure other issues as well, as it acclimates the cluster to the truck it is in. One other thing that happened when I did this, it locked the radio. This was cured by simply cycling power (key off, door open and wait for usb lights to go out, then repower).

Yes I do not remember where exactly I found it, but it is in one of the menus. It was something like "RESET TO FACTORY DEFAULTS" and that is exactly what it did. It reset all the configurable setting, and it did not reset the oil life or the trip meters MPG or any of that stuff. I was pretty stoked been fight the F#@#*&* compass thing with my original EVIC. I'm betting there is some secret method to reset those as well (nothing in any menus on that one) and I bet the compass would then show up on that one as well.

This guy is in Brooklyn and is the cheapest (verified) service.

http://tvandnav2go.com/

A little too far to drive but he includes return service for $175 (odometer and engine hours).

Are you getting it in your radio? Apparently the cluster has its own compass module? Maybe the 3.5 are different some have a compass if they come with the 5.0 radio? I know the module in the console, there are 2 available for the 13-15 trucks one is compass only and the other is homelink / compass??? And do you get the outside temp in the radio???

compass is only showing up in the cluster, i do not get outside temp on the radio. i did not get the compass directions in the 3.5 cluster.

i am getting bulb out warnings now for taillights and parking lights (all LED) where i was not getting any warnings previously....i may disconnect the battery and see what happens then.

Sounds very familiar exactly what I got, I think you will need to take the led's out and put back the incandescent ones, add resistors to the lights or live with the error. Mine only does it when you first start the truck.

What ****** me off is I bought the Pilot can buss Led's which are not supposed to throw the errors. WTF?

I had the same thing happen when I installed my premium cluster. It showed parking light out. The message never came up on 3.5 cluster. I guess the 7" cluster has the capability to read more codes. I have the Laramie headlights and tail lights. I started checking the resistors I had installed when I put in the headlights and sure enough one of them was blown. I repaired it and as ll as been fine since.

I did the cluster upgrade.
After seeing how they look on a Ram 1500 at the local dealership I knew I wanted it. So many more features and the display is pretty cool even at night.

Found one on car-parts.com and when the lady told me the mileage ( about 500 miles to mine) I said " Shut up and take my money!"
Mine came out of a Bighorn.
Install was a breeze. ( And why the hell can't all upgrades be plug n play without hacks, flashes, custom harness ********?)

I have not yet installed mine as I need to have the mileage, and hours set.
I was at a local dealership the other day and just for kicks inquired about having them send out the cluster and leaving my truck there so the process could be documented for DMV and warranty reasons. The SM said he would look into and get back to me.

I just a voicemail from them stating they cannot do it, and strongly recommend I do not as it will absolutely void all warrantees. I am not sure I really believe that but if push comes to shove its us against Fiat, and Fiat can afford to push and shove much harder than we can.

Still mulling the idea over I know a lot of you guys will make arguments, that the PCM, BCM, ECM or whatever stores the actual mileage and there is no way they can deny me warranty etc, and that all sound good but again Fiat holds all the cards pretty much here. But I want this cluster, what a conundrum, I going to keep looking for a dealer who can at least document the process for me.

There are a number of things wrong with that service managers statement but I'm going to keep this simple.

The mileage of the truck is recorded and stored in the BCM.
The cluster is a read out device not the storage device.
The reason they would want to void a warranty is because someone could put a low mileage cluster in a high mileage car and then try to get warranty work done they don't qualify for. A simple scan of the BCM and the actual mileage is revealed.
I personally have had my truck repaired 3 times for minor things (door handle, leaking brake light, and airbag light) and they have all been covered under warranty with not a peep about the new cluster.

And if push comes to shove you go to an arbitrator and ask them to have the dealership scan the BCM find the mileage and move on with the warranty work. Just because they say no doesn't take away your right to arbitration.

Kinda how I felt when I swapped mine. I just wanted that dam cluster! The Few times I have been in with my truck they didn't look twice at the cluster on my 2013 or 2014 other than to see what mileage was sitting at. They have no idea it did or didn't come with it unless they do an equipment listing. Even then I doubt most SM's even know what's up other than another truck rolled into the service lane. Hell, my friend that works at a dealer installed my remote start and had his laptop hooked to my truck adding the sales code and didn't mention a thing that related to mileage or clusters. To each their own I guess.
