The extender does the same as all the other options only easier. And also for older and or more rotund people especially in the winter with heavy coats on it is much easier to buckel into the extension then clear down to the factory buckle.

I turned the dinger off with Alfa, works great when cruising logging roads.

when you are grading a field to plant crops, you don't want the machines to hit rocks or stones.
We either used a tractor with a drag attached & we tossed stones onto the drag until we got to the end of the field, there we tossed the collected stones.
Sometimes we just used a flat bed truck or a truck & low trailer to do the same things, if you were working by yourself, hopping in & out, it would be a pain to fasten the seat belt to move 6 feet & stop, then unfasten, etc.

By the way, that is why you see stone walls surrounding fields in some areas

Old thread but I'll throw in my two bits... I just went to a salvage yard and found a totalled out RAM truck. Cut the seatbelt, slid off the buckle, plugged it in and no more bells or blinky lights... Got both sides... Salvage yard operator didn't care since I'm a regular there...

Just an update for this thread. I ended up doing some testing and I found that a 550 ohm resistor across the two connector terminals will make the truck think the seatbelt is always connected.

I cut my seatbelt wire and soldered across it. I tried several values before finding this one that worked.
Thanks @Bmags ! I crimped a 470 Ohm resistor to 2 mini spade connectors then plugged it in instead of the seat belt sensor. The spade connectors fit the terminals so it did not require any cutting. The resistor is shrink wrapped to prevent it from making electrical contact with anything by accident. I did not have a 550 Ohm resistor but the 470 Ohm resistor I had on hand works great. I included a photo if anyone else is interested in a similar solution.
For anyone wondering, I always wear my seatbelt while driving but I like to put it on while backing out of my driveway, before the road. The truck will not automatically disengage the parking brake unless the truck thinks the driver's seatbelt is plugged in.

Awesome! If I cared more I could have tested the high and low values to see what the limits were, but I'm glad it worked out. :)
