So what actual formats and size limit for videos? I tried posting a video and it said the format was not supported. There was other info, but was hidden.

You can't just post a stand alone video like you do pictures. You need to have a site address that the video is saved at to share it. IE: Youtube, IG, etc.

I just copy the URL of the video, then come to the section and thread where I want to post it,

I copy the link to my video, then I click on the "Insert Link" icon at the top of the toolbar where I will be posting, copy the URL and add a short description, then save it.

You can directly copy & paste the URL of your video into the text box.
