How to set up cruise control in my 2004 st?

Put junkyard switches into the wheel and connected the connectors to the switches. But when I try to activate it it doesn’t work. There’s no named fuse in the box for it. I was told it was all plug and play but do I have to get the dealer to activate it in the computer or something? Or is it related to another fuse or switch in the vehicle?

Activating stuff in the network is CAN bus stuff, your truck is older than that. You left out a crucial piece of info; what engine do you have?
