Cruise control won't enable

Discovered that the cruise control won't enable. The symbol on the dash will not turn on when pressing the on/off button.

Did some googling and tried the pressing the gear+/gear- buttons, but no success. Seems like folks out there all have had similar issues.

Threw it on the computer and I have the following codes:
SCCM (Steering Column Control Module) - P0591 (Speed Control Switch 2erformance)
TCM U1477 (Implausible Paddle Shifter Data Received) - not sure if this is related to pressing the gear shifter buttons

Any thoughts?

Discovered that the cruise control won't enable.

Happened to my 2017 earlier this year. Pulled the fuse and reseated it. No issues since. I did not check for codes however.

This may just be coincidence, but my cruise worked when it felt like t. My husband was driving, got irritated and pushed the empty "button" above the on/off, and it started working! Later it wouldn't work, he pushed same and started working. Hope this helps!
