figured i'd introduce myself since i may be here for a while.

im about to sell my car and will be picking up a used truck to replace it.

i'm not a brand specific guy so i'm looking at a Ram or an F150. i know what most here will recommend since it is Ram forum so im not asking what is better or what i should get...just looking to introduce myself and general info on the ram.

im looking at 2011+ crew cab. no preferences at all except id like it to be a greyish color but even that is up in the air. my budget is 25k so i should be able to find a nice, low mileage Ram or F150 that will last me many years to come.

anyways, i'll be on here reading around to get an idea on how Ram is.

My only truck before this was a 2005 Titan that i sold in 2012 and i still kick myself that i did that...it was a great truck. no issues at all, just needed the cash.

:waytogo: :welcome: :boti: I have always been a Chevy man, but I purchased my 07 Dodge Ram 1500 Bighorn Crew Cab 5.7L HEMI last December and I love it.

i grew up in a chevy family but without getting into politics....i fell off when the goverment had to bail them out and they became Government Motors.

same with Chrystler but i seem to like the Ram over the Chevy anyways. Ford seems to be on top of their game so i dont know.

i just sold the car about an hour ago so i have a small down payment sitting in my pocket right now. maybe i can get a good Memorial Day deal this weekend!

Welcome and good luck with whatever truck you end up with! I don't think you can go wrong either way.

This is pretty obvious, but keep in mind that most people don't post about how trouble free their trucks are, but everyone complains and asks questions about the various problems they experience.

i drive 170 miles round trip to work and back every day so i have plenty of time to look at trucks on the road. i'll see a nice ram and be like man, i want that. then i'll see a nice F150 and think man, id like to have that.

it will come down to what kind of deal i can get and looking at prices, I can get more Ram for my money than the F150....so we'll see. been looking online but will hit up a couple dealers this weekend.
