HU-Lets have a vote

Well here are a few of the HU/Speakers I have been consider.

Not going for a over the top system, and not a audiophile. Just planning on having a mediocre system, and planning on sound proofing the truck a little. Not gonna add a sub just yet, but its in the future plans.

Please vote on the speakers (front) and HU you think I should go with. I will Include a "other" category, if you vote for that one, please include a link to the "other."

Lastly, I am a college student, so obviously I am going for the most bang for your buck products.

Jbl is the same company that makes infinity speakers and I have always liked the infinity line. I am partial to kenwood decks myself although pioneer makes nice decks also.

I have looked into this unit before, and I find it to be quite impressive, and WHEW what a price!! the thing that concerns me about that unit is, what if I upgrade to a Iphone 5, or future Iphone models, which its coming close to time for considering my 4 is becoming quite sluggish. Thats what worries me the most.

Ya, I've had that concern as well. I have the iPhone 5 now and I just bout the adaptor cable from apple and it works great on my head unit. I think the only thing is that maybe some of the special apps on the head unit won't work with the 5, but the only "apps" I ever use is pandora and the music player. Or I usually just have a spare iPod with all my music in the truck.

yeah, I just looked it up and the app radio allows music to be played off the iphone 5 but it does not support video or apps. only the 4/4s. unfortunately.

I have a kenwood ddx719. That's another one to consider. It's awesome with iPhone. I'm bummed I can't use it in my 2013 yet. Hoping metra creates a wiring harness and mount soon
