2014 Ram 1500 5.7 -- I'm having an issue when trying to select where air is coming out of (I.E selecting vents defrost and floors nothing changes) I changed out the 3 easy accessible blend doors (behind glove box and front of dash) and all seem to be working fine. when I turn the dial to select floor vents, defrost or upper vents there is no change from where the air comes from. the fan controller works just fine and changes the speed of the fan motor but I cant get the air to come out of the vents or defrost. I know on my 2011 you could manually hold the defrost button down to re calibrate the blend doors but that trick does not work for this 2014. I'm going to try and disconnect the battery to do a total reset but don't think that will solve the problem. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

I'm having the same issue, been trying to troubleshoot for the past couple months. My mechanic and I are almost sure it's the HVAC control module. Apparently it's a common problem with these 2014's. My module has superseded to a new part number (68268186AA) which I verified with the dealer parts department. From what I understand, these modules are not plug and play. They need to be programmed to your specific truck. My mechanic will be doing this on Monday, fingers crossed this fixes my problem... I'll come back and update.

If this doesn't fix the problem, I think I'll need to pay the dealer to figure it out. As of right now I have confirmed that all of my doors and actuators are functional. And of course all of these issues are intermittent (which makes me think this really is software related).

Im having the same problem with my 2013 5.7 1500, i replaced the heater core and the
4 actuators.(i do not have dual climate zones)due to no heat on the drivers side. i double checked that the blend doors function properly before putting the Hvac box back together. i tried to calibrate the actuators using OBDlinkmx+/Alfa obd app, but failed due to 'limited travel'. The actuators seemed to have lost communication with the mode and temp dials. repeated efforts to calibrate have failed. the climate controls have power. im lost...

so I still have the issue but I've found a workaround. Its bizarre but my mechanic found that if we remove the actuator behind the glove box (top left when looking at the glove box) but leave it plugged into the harness, the system cycles though and escapes the "limp mode". Basically that actuator keeps spinning when it shouldn't and the system senses the resistance and shuts down. When it's removed, it keeps spinning but senses no resistance (because the actuator isn't actually moving the door) and continues to function. Thats my guess at least. That particular actuator controls the blend door for the drivers side. So whenever I want heat, I reach up to where that actuator used to be mounted and twist the knob that moves the door up. When I want AC, i twist the knob down. The rest of the functions work as designed. I'm not happy but at least I have all my vents working and I can get full heat and AC. Hopefully this helps someone.

I am having a similar issue with my 2013 1500 Laramie, dual climate control. When I try to select the front vents, nothing happens. I can only select defrost and feet. If I turn the truck off and let it completely power down then restart it, that fixes the issue. This doesn't happen every time I start my truck. I am also not getting heat on the drivers side AGAIN. Heater core was replaced 3 years ago, AC evaporator replaced last year, all actuators tested, doors all intact. Not sure if it's connected but when listening to music, songs will randomly restart. Has anyone found a fix? It's currently at the shop. Hoping I don't end up having to take it to the dealer.
