Man, that looks much better.
Why didnt you paint your side mirrors too when you painted the grill?
I'd lose the 4x4 on the rear for a cleaner look.

Overall? Your truck is coming nicely together
The black on the bumper would look killer. That's for sure.

I didn't paint the side mirrors cause I for some reason like the black up there. I think it's a perfect contrast as the 4x4 in the back. I'm just not a fan of mostly white. I think the black accents work out well. I'm going to black my bumper I think also.

Thanks for the complements! I think I'm gonna dread doing the handles and inside the lights though! Seems like it might be a pain in the ass...

Thanks for the information above. What grit sandpaper did you use to prep the grille?

Also for your bumper try out some white plasti dip, there is a thread on here where a guy did his front emblem in white and it looked good and matched well.

Thanks, I'm thinking about painting the inside of the light housing black and just puting in the HID's in there until I can afford some halos. Just not sure if tearing apart the light covers and all that is my cup of tea or not. I guess I'm just not sure how hard it would be to do it...

If you don't want to tear the lights apart, you could always buy the black housing depo lights, just be sure to add some sealer to it or they will leak. Then you can save some money and send your old lights to JJ and have them fully retro'd without having to worry about core charges.

I think I used maybe 400 and then to 1000 but, I'm not totally sure. I sprayed some white plasti dip on the bumper last night and for some reason I wasn't diggin all the white so I peeled it off! lol.

Quick question though, what do you mean by black housing depo lights?

Not a great pic.

A thought on the black bumper, which would look good. If doing the rockers, instead of going up to the prominent line on the doors follow the first body line and sloop the front and back as the lines do. A couple of guys have done that on another forum and it looks killer.

JJ's look way better than the cheap Depo's but the budget only allowed so much at this time. Still trying to put a suspension system under the truck, that is my #1 mod for now.

What did you pay for that if you don't mind me asking? Where did you get it at?

$140.00 shipped, the prices seem to fluctuate. Like I said JJ's are hands down better looking, but for a short term fix to the chrome they work pretty good, plus the light output actually appears to be a bit better than the stock housings. But be sure to add some sealer to them before you install them. I tried RTV, but it didn't do much then heated them and pressed them together, still leaked. Bought some flexa seal and finally no leaks.
