Well as many of your know I have a 2011 Ram Sport.

I am thinking of blacking out the truck. As of now I am thinking of buying one of these wheels.

Now I plan on removing all decals on the side of the truck and doing a flat black the rear 4x4 logo. Now as far as the grille inserts I am either going to do my chrome insterts flat black or install a fuel grille like this.

So with this I can't keep the ram logo's the same *** chrome and black. I found a idea now granted I know the red backing is a sticker but I am wanting to know if anyone has done this to their Ram and if so how hard was it, how much was it, and do you have pictures or stories to share. Thanks for your help. JT

The badges - the front is easy (but looks like you are losing it for that.......well.....guady grill). The back one doesn't separate, so you will need to have some fun with the tape before you paint it!

You should do what JJ did with his grill and black out the cross. I think that look damn good. And i like the 2nd wheels. And with everything else i say do what you like. Just my 2cents.

those motos would be awesome. not a huge fan of the grill, but if you dig it go for it. I think the red color matched that you have now looks great as is. save that mod money for other goodies if it were me. You'd also have to black out your step bars. Overall your truck is awesome as it sits:naughty: but blacking it out will also look awesome too...and a bit "meaner."

Ok best way for the back grill to do the back red and the ram black. First taper it all off yadda yadda paint it all black yes all of it let it dri for a few days. Now the easy part tape all around it off again then use red plasti dip spray the whole thing let it dry then take a model razor knife cut around the ram and peel. Instant black ram head and red backing.

will look just like that but only on the back

Thanks for the input guys. Walt that sounds awesome on what you said to do. Is it easy to do or does it take some time?

You could take them to the local model shop and pay one of the nerds who paint action figures to paint them all ominous with glowing red eyes and stuff. Then just spray a coat of clear on them. A friend did that with the horses on his mustang and they are sick. And you would never see someone else with the same thing!

ok, here is my opinion...I know its of little value.

Love the 1st wheels, 2nd ones are just too open for my tastes. Have to say I personally do not like the Fuel grill. Color matching the cross with just Black honeycomb would look awesome IMHO.

End of the day its what YOU like. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Takes some time cause you have to let the first coat of paint dry before you apply the plasti dip id say total time doing it 1-2 hours actually time it takes (lol waiting on paint to dry ) id say wait 1-2 days unless its really hot where you are.
