So I bought an 04 single cab Ram 1500 with the 5.7 hemi about 6 months ago. To be honest, I've never owned anything like this and the most I've done to it so far was new exhaust system (headers, pipes, etc..) and of course the oil change. My fan clutch went out so I pulled it and now I wanna go a bit deeper such as checking my water pump (it's a bit noisy). Not sure if the coolant in this thing has ever been replaced and I've never messed with a motor like this, but I'm fairly certain that you have to drain the coolant to remove the water pump... Correct? Can anybody tell me how to COMPLETELY drain the coolant from this motor? I have looked everywhere and I cannot find anything that tells me how to do this on this model truck. I've flushed the radiator, so I need to know how to get it out of the block. Also I already have the 5 gallons of Zerex G-05 (HOAT) 50-50 coolant. Any help is greatly appreciated.
(Yes I have done a coolant flush to multiple vehicles, but there's so much going on with these Hemi's that I just need some reassurance and pointers.)
