I installed a set of these yesterday on my 2018 Ram. Lightweight aluminum running board with nice powdercoated steel mounting brackets. Nice and easy install with no drilling required. I didn't have threaded holes on my truck, but the adapter plate made it really easy to mount. I just got a set I'll be putting on soon. Is that your review on the Amazon site? If so, it helped me to pull the trigger because I didn't see this thread until after I ordered. But glad I did!..

**EDIT** I just checked and it's a 1500 not your 2500....

Took about 1.5 hours to install. One thing I did like about these is the way the bracket mounts to the running board. It allows lots of adjustment forward and back to get them right where you want them.

Thanks for the review. I got a set through Amazon that was one sale very briefly for $340. then back at $630 the next.

They seem study and I like them a lot.


Only issues I noticed were...
- Doesn't use all 3 bolt holes/blind nuts at the 3 locations vs 2. (Idealy should have a 'V' shaped nut bracket for 3 bolts like the Amp power steps use)

- Panel washers at the body mounts aren't a big enough O.D. for the slots on the brackets. Fixed with a trip to Ace hardware.

Great price and they look great on your truck. I paid about $410 for the brackets and boards from amazon. I thought mine used three bolts on the body mounts, I’ll have to crawl underneath tomorrow and look again.

One thing I noticed over time is the black finish wears off the screws that hold the tread plates on, especially by the doors where your shoes touch them. I’ll have to touch those up, it stands out a bit.
