I installed a set of these yesterday on my 2018 Ram. Lightweight aluminum running board with nice powdercoated steel mounting brackets. Nice and easy install with no drilling required. I didn't have threaded holes on my truck, but the adapter plate made it really easy to mount. Really happy with the look and function of these. https://www.amazon.com/Off-Road-Alu...-23092-3114-----1-0&sr=1-20&ymm=2018:ram:2500

They almost look like sliders, but that's not really their function, right?

Even mine, being steel, would only survive minor sliding/bumping as they are attached to the pinch weld and rocker panel...not the frame.

Frame mounted sliders are hard to come by and very expensive on our rigs.

Yeah, they have a bottom rail like a slider but these wouldn't hold up to any abuse being aluminum tubes. I just liked the look and not having to worry about rust.

They do look good...congrats!

I actually bought these from CARid (member here), not Amazon. They gave me a $25 gift card to beat the Amazon price... just FYI

I've been looking at these, too. Does the finish seem slippery or does it have traction when stepping on them?

The flat black powder coating has pretty good traction. I haven't noticed slipping on it when it's wet. Great running boards so far.

I like these a lot, I remember looking at them hard. I was concerned about my wife or kids getting their feet stuck in the openings on either side of the step pads. Plus they looked kind of slick, like they would be slippery- maybe they’re not after all.

I went with the Aries Advantedge step boards. They have a bed liner-like coating on the tread plates. Kinda pricey though...

Those are sweet looking too! What do those run for a set?

They are a bit pricey. I ordered them from amazon, and bought the bracket set and boards separately. I paid $400, at the time it was cheaper then buying the kit together. Now it’s closer to $500 on Amazon I think. The boards are all aluminum and they bolted right up and fit well.

They also come in black with silver tread plates, silver w/silver, and silver w/ black. You can also buy the tread plates separately. Aries also makes matching bull bars and headache racks.

Thanks for the review. I got a set through Amazon that was one sale very briefly for $340. then back at $630 the next.
Aries 2556006 5.5" AdvantEDGE Side Bar with Brackets https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01D83EZAQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_-Nm.Bb4FGTZRS

** [email protected] can beat the current Amazon price for the set.

They seem study and I like them a lot.

Only issues I noticed were...
- Doesn't use all 3 bolt holes/blind nuts at the 3 locations vs 2. (Idealy should have a 'V' shaped nut bracket for 3 bolts like the Amp power steps use)

- Panel washers at the body mounts aren't a big enough O.D. for the slots on the brackets. Fixed with a trip to Ace hardware.

I like the ones in the OP, very rock slider-esque. They look so much better than my NFabs.
