Ok, so this morning, one of my co-workers rode with me to grab a bite to eat, goes to adjust the seat and bam, the handle now pivots freely. Looks like the cable somehow disconnected or something. Anybody ever repair the tilt mechanism on a dodge seat? Stupid F-ing coworkers:flipthebird:

I just tore the plastic trim piece off of it, seem like the adjustment cable now had an extra inch of slack to it. Almost like the catch is open, but not retracting.

Well sounds like it's time to pull the seat and check it out. I'm not sure how to fix that. I was gonna hope that it was just the handle.

Not your co workers fault....mechanism is seriously dissused. It's a series of pins that pop into place and probably needs a shot of penetrant and some use to free everything up.
Having all that %&(*^ under your pass seat doesn't help either....j/k

AHHH ythe seat back...not really mentioned in the first post. I know the seat sliders can stick too....and found the spray and play method works best.

As far as your back adjustment...not that hard. I believe there's a recall on those breaking. Have you tried to find it?
Has something to do with the return spring snapping or something. I'll have to try and find it later.
Hitting it with a hammer probably won't do a lot, but if it makes you feel beter...it used to work for me!
