I have a 2005 1500 hemi, and I have total power failure, and am trying to open up the IPM to access the circuit board to clean off all corrosion. I have removed/broken the 3 plastic studs and taken off the FCM, but it is still jammed tight and wont budge on the side with the fcm. Ive placed shims over all 6 tabs, also tried removing the 4 shims and only shimmed the 2 on that side, but nothing will budge. Am I missing a hidden screw or anything on this side that is keeping it locked in? There is corrosion on the fcm side where the panel should slide up, so ive sprayed electronic cleaner in all the seams multiple times, still no luck. Any suggestions?
