idle jumping around

Grrr, my beloved trucks idle when in park only will move from about 700 rpm to about 1k rpm. Sitting while in drive it will hold at 800 rpm. Any ideas what could wrong with this old girl? She is a 02 4.7.

Maybe check for a vacum leak somewhere.

Have you cleaned your throttle body lately? May need to replace your IAC.
