When i installed my pioneer nav unit the illumination was fine it work like it was designed bright with headlights off dim with them on. After having my DRL's activated when i had my fogs activated it is doing what it is supposed to do which is in the daytime when the DRL's are on my screen is dim and hard to see. Basically is there anyway to bypass that in the radio wiring harnes with the illumination wire without having the dealer turn the DRL's off and charging me for an hour of labor.

I really dont want to disconnect it but on sunny days or even not so sunny days you cant really see the screen. Which is fine with me but on road trips my kids wont be able to see their movie. I guess i could throw a toggle switch in it and just lay the switch in the glove box when needed, kinda inconvenient though but ill figure something out. Thanks

Check the brightness settings in the actual unit you can probably make it brighter all the time.

I tried finding that earlier and couldn't too many buttons lol. All i could find was screen color but after screwing with it for a while i was able to turn it all the way up while the DRL's were on. Thanks again for the input.
