2017 Ram 1500 5.7 So I went to Little Caesars the other day and ordered pizza. They said it would be about 30 minutes as they were very busy. I said ok, and went out and sat in my truck. It was warm so I didnt start the truck. As I was sitting there scrolling on my phone WITH NO KEY IN THE IGNITION every 15-20 seconds I heard very clearly a noise that sounded like an actuator moving a door on the heater. I repeat, the truck is turned off and no key in the ignition. Whats going on???

Probably need to hear about recording of the sound? Could it have something to do with the fuel pump?

Mine does the same... it's the blender doors / actuator(s) moving about.
I've no idea why it does this, but it does.

Those smarter than me here will chime in with some info no doubt.

As mentioned above it's the HVAC door actuators cycling, they'll do it even when the truck has been off for hours and the key was not anywhere near the vehicle by just opening/closing a door.
It's a known function of the vehicle.

Why does it do that, and is there a way to stop it? Seems like it would run the battery down eventually.
