I promise I've searched high and wide on this one...

2024 Ram 2500 Big Horn; When the lights are set to Auto and it is cloudy/dark, but not night, the interior dash/cluster backlighting do not illuminate. The illumination knob to the left of the steering wheel does not do anything. If I change the lights to On, the illumination knob takes effect. This doesn't seem right according to my experience with my previous Ram, or on the forums. What setting in my uconnect do I need to change? I've messed around quite a bit and can't find the right combo. It does seem that at sunset and sunrise (almost on the dot) the vehicle will switch modes. Yes, I've cleaned the ambient light sensor on the dash. I've connected the uconnect to wifi and checked for updates but it does not appear there are any. Thank you!

Still curious to this problem. My truck flipped over to daytime mode at actual sunrise this AM vs how light it was (I moved the lights to ON vs Auto to see my dash)

I have a 2023 Ram Big Horn Cummins engine Heavy Duty Dually, my dash lights when in auto light up bright but when moved to manual lights on the switch they go to dark. I must be missing some mode that I am not understanding, {might be the nature of the beast}, any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the reply, my truck has just one roller switch. I move the main switch from auto to manual and dash lights dim. I move the roller switch while in manual up into detent and the dash lights up to normal brightness. But no interior lights are on while detent is engaged. So, hoping no battery drag while come from this selection.
