I posted here a few months ago that my ETC light inexplicably turned on during a camping trip. I have a 2021 Ram 1500 Hemi. I took the tailgate off so I could fit our golf card in the bed of the truck while we tow our camper trailer. The truck handles the weight beautifully and I am really happy with its performance, but the ETC light went on almost immediately. I called the dealer near our campground, took it in, they ran the logs but the only thing coming back were warnings that the communication to the tailgate camera wasn't working (no kidding, it was no longer connected). Got home, but the tailgate back on, and the ETC light went away.
Went camping again this past weekend - same exact setup, same exact issue with the ETC light.
This is the only time the ETC light has ever come on.
Also, since I bought the truck, the horn honks whenever I start the truck, but only on a cold engine (and not 100% of the time). I took it in to the dealer and they couldn't replicate the issue (most likely because the engine was still warm, which I told them seemed to be the differentiator).
In any case -- anyone have advice/solutions for either of these issues?
