Hey guys i just traded my sport for an outdoorsman and looking to level it, i know bils were a tad longer then stockers on other models and that outdoorsmans are slightly taller also, now how do the bils compare to stock outdoorsman shocks in terms of length?

From what I understand the front struts on the Outdoorsman are about an inch taller, so if you measured before a level and took them out you be about an inch less than what you would gain on a standard model, that's with bilsteins, I think a spacer would still give whatever its supposed to.

Do the bilsteins being shorter have any negative effect?
I'm just learning all this too, this is the first 1500 I have owned , always been HD trucks, there shouldn't be any negative effect except the regular issues with levelling these trucks, like the popped ball joints and the possible vibration and wobble from the CV angle in 4x4

I just bought a outdoosrman too! So, if you set it to 2.1 inches on the Bils it will only be a 1.4 inches of lift? My Bils should be here on Tuesday.

Bad choice, 1500s suck.

The Oitdoorsman is .75" talker up front due to the spring perch on the shock being higher. Set the Bilsteins to 2.8", and gain around 2.1" lift.
I set mine at 2.8".

I don't think they suck. I still have a 2500 mega cab and got a great deal on this new 1500. I will buy a new 3500 when they have their design change in 2018. For now I have 2 trucks, one for towing and off road and one for daily driving. Nice comment though.

Ass hurt babies I swear. Yes I have an opinion on 1500s since I had one for 4 years, and that hand me down 2500 would rip your truck in half sweetie. A little joking comment makes you ******* whine so much.

Eh, I have been lurking here for a long time and gasser has been the most consistently negative poster I have seen.
