Congrats on the s&b, installed mine a couple months ago and I love it. I have you one small issue with it tho. I don't mean to hijack your thread but did you notice the crank case vent line that goes into the s&b box isn't filtered. Do you think that can eventually cause a problem?

It is filtered! Look closely!

Re: Installed S&B

Anyone running the s&b try the vararam at all? Im torn between the two. S&b will be good for offroading and stuff however the vararam is soooo much sexier. Also thanks to matt at moes for all his wondeful incite. Just wanna know everyone elses opinions thanmse

I installed mine two nights ago, nd finished the scoop last night. Now I have to go out and romp on it.
The fit on the CAI is exceptional. The scoop? So-so.
I hope I can hear it at WOT, or I wish I would have bought a ported TB instead.

I romped on it a bit, hard to tell much of a difference without being at a track. It's fairly quiet, but the construction is top notch, and it looks great in the engine bay. I didn't get the scoop, looks like it doesn't aim forward like a real ram air should, doubt much of a gain will be seen with it. Moe's TB is on my next list of things to buy after my LSD is installed.

Your going to enjoy a ported throttle body, it's going to compliment your intake very well. Looks like all us Air Grabber guys with back ordered units will be shipping Monday so I get to pair it with my 85mm TB soon!!

Yeah, the scoop only points straight down (I wish I knew why my Android tab won't let me post pics) but I figured if I'm going to add a CAI with the scoop option I'd might as well go all the way to maximize the potential benefits.
If the instructions had a caveat at the step where you fasten the airbox to the frame & well liner, that you could pause and insert the scoop, it would help a lot. There just isn't much wiggle room with the air box fastened down, to insert the scoop.

Got my S&B cai installed! I must say, it would have been easier if I wouldn't have done it in a mall parking lot in 20 degree weather. But it gives the engine compartment a nice deep sound! I don't notice much difference until I am at WOT, but when I go WOT you can definitely hear it! I am excited for what is to come.

Thanks to MOE's for helpin me figure out what I want and gettin me set up.

I like the S&B too, but I think I like the look of the vararam better :(

It wouldn't be hard to sell the S&B and toss a Vararam on there...just sayin'...haha.
