Installing hardwire for dash camera.

Who can tell me a convenient location to get power and avoid the underhood fuse box?

Constant should be easy to find under the dash. Meter out some of the thicker wires. Constant goes to the radio as well.

The wire that feeds the 12v power outlet is where I tapped into for mine. I ran the wire in under the edge of the overhead console, across inside the headliner, down the a pillar and under the dash to the area behind the outlet.

I tapped into my rear slider power in overhead console, took about 15 minutes to do with quick splice things. Comes on only when truck is running.

I pulled from the mirror power as well. The only issue is that it’s switched 12v so u loose parking mode and security. Don’t forget you need a 5v converter.
