So I JUST purchased a 2005 Dodge Ram Texas Edition....Love it!
One thing I did notice though is that it has a Mopar after market intake in it.
However, the piece that extends from the intake in which you bolt to the body has cracked. I have tried JB Weld, but it came back apart at that break. Is there another way I can hold the intake up? It is aluminum, so I cant weld it...I don't believe.... Thought?
Is there maybe a harness I could use?>
Thanks in advance for any help guys,.,.,

The crack isn't on the intake itself per say, its on the arm that extends off the intake where you can bolt it to the truck. if you give me like 5mins I can post a picture.

Dat Cummins!
You should be able to have that welded back. It doesn't look to be cast aluminum so any good welding shop should be able to "tig" it back together for you and maybe even reinforce it for you.

if you want it to look prettier, get the straps that don't have any holes pre drilled and drill your own.

Yep Ryan gave a quick and effective way of fixing it. Only other thing to do would be pull it off the truck and have it mig or tig welded again or a new tab made and welded in place. Does your truck have a body lift by chance? That seems to be a common occurance for it to damage the intake mount.
