I have a 2005 Ram 2500 4x4 long bed . I just backed into a pole and need a rear bumper. Does anyone know if a the 4th gen rear bumper will fit exact ? Or a 3rd gen 1500 bumper will fit ? mine is the chrome with rubber step pads on top . Any help will be greatly appreciated . Thanks

I don't think a 4th gen bumper would bolt right up. Yes a 3rd gen 1500 bumper would be a direct replacement.

3rd gen bumpers are forwards and backwards compatible. 4th gen will not fit without fab work; it's been done, but if you need a quick replacement that isn't the ticket.
