NEED HELP! 1st Gen Factory rear step bumper

My mint condition 1990 Dodge W250 was rear ended by a semi. Talk about bummed! Still factory paint job, lot's of fading but not a dent in it. Owned since it rolled off the showroom floor totally stock with matching camper shell. Only mods 4" all spring lift, raised steering arm adjustable drag link, lifted it the right way, shocks, 35's.

Looked for a couple hours online found nothing matching. Looking hard for the factory rear chrome step bumper, skin or complete.

There has to be something out there to restore my truck back to it's original condition. Might consider aftermarket matching front rear winch bumpers, praintable, to match truck.

Was just getting ready to scratch and shoot some paint but now a new bed and that impossible to find bumper are on my list.

Any help, anywhere is deeply appreciated. I just bought a complete running D250, bed is fair not as clean as mine was but I will work it over to make it that way. Seems it's a rariety to find anything perfectly straight as mine was that isn't still on the road. Thanks for any info. Or direction to look.

If a semi really rear ended you, most likely the truck is history. Part out what you can and move on.

Frames straighr,,just drove 450 miles to haul another full size dodge w250. Why would I Parr a good truck?As far as the accident were you there? Don't seem your bame in the police report.

Do you have any pics of the damage? I’m sorry to hear about your truck, but at what speed did the semi hit you? @Ritchie_Rich ’s comment was a little obtuse, but he makes a valid point. It seems like your truck would have been damaged more extensively unless the impact happened at a very low speed.

I can’t help with the parts you’re looking for. Hopefully someone here can. Good luck with the search.

Good Day, You might try posting in the First Gen forum. But with that aside, have you perused any local junkyards yet. It's amazing what you might find. You can also find aftermarket parts on some online sites by doing a simple Google search. I bought a lot of parts for my truck off the bay. Good luck,

Summit racing has a few chrome ones, ebay has some brand new black painted ones, but if you want the original,all metal one and don't want the plastic guard on the top you will have to search for a used, non bent one. Maybe a fb marketplace parts truck will have one, you never know

Googled a whole bunch of options on the first search. There is the chrome bumper what you want on Ebay right now for $250. Best of luck with the rebuild.

You can call Tri city plating LINKY or check around your are for other bumper re-platers. there's one in Sioux city believe. Tri city does EXCELLENT work and the specialize in bumpers.

Op- did you ever find the bumper you needed?

Just checked, hasn't been back since Aug 2nd on the original post from July 31st, so may never get an answer.
