Interior Lights

I have a 2018 Ram 2500 and noticed the interior lights do not come on when you open the door. Once the key is in ignition and turned on, they come on. Mainly notice this in the mornings when I go to work. Other times I notice the lights come on when I open the doors. It doesn't make sense that they don't work in the mornings but other times it seems to work fine. Anybody else have the same thing happen to them?

Try rolling the dial for dash brightness. Also look in your setting on the radio might have settings there.

I had already checked that. I leave for work about 5:30 am, so its still dark when I leave. The interior overhead lights don't come on when you unlock the truck. Once the key fob is inserted and turned to the "on" position the interior lights come on then go off when the truck is started. I checked after I had been to work for a couple hours and the lights come on as soon as you hit the unlock button like they are supposed to. It just seems to not work after sitting all night. Has anybody else had any problems like this?

We understand why this may be frustrating. I checked your Owner's Manual and found that page 79 describe how the interior lights operate: "Courtesy and dome lights are turned on when the front doors are opened, when the dimmer control (rotating wheel on the bottom of the switch) is rotated to the far right detent position. If your vehicle is equipped with Remote Keyless Entry, and the unlock button is pushed on the key fob, the courtesy and dome lights will turn on." My 2018 2500 done work either. Took it in once. They tried to blame the 3rd brake light, saying its aftermarket. It's not I said it's all factory.. has the camera for 5th wheel.. tried looking at settings. Tried the dial, tried the remote, still dont have dome lights when door is open. I do have the small lights under back and in the door pockets rgar come on... sucks can't get any help from the dealer..

I have this same issue in my 2015 1500 Express. I have tried everything even replacing all of the bulbs. I have just dealt with it at this point as it has been like this for a year now. Sometimes they work sometimes they dont
