alright im wanting to change the upper half of my interior to black instead of that stupid tan. i just tried some rustoleum vinyl and fabric spray. but its like a latex paint and when installing the passenger side a pillar it scrapped some of that "paint" off in a couple of spots.
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN ACCOMPLISH WHAT IM TRYIN TO DO? THIS IS REALLY STARTING TO AGGRIVATE ME AND IM DETERMINED TO GET THAT TAN TO BLACK OR CHARCOAL.

Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated

im startin to think about just using the plastic spray paint as well. but i know it wont hold up too good to everyday use. like using the hand hold to get in and out of the truck. but it might be what im stuck with

i did the same thing to my 05, but with duplicolors dye stuff. It's just spray paint imo...LOL
It looked awesome, but got scratches here and there....showed some wear after time on the grab handle.

i looked in the custom thread and saw what david was talking about and i might go to oreillys friday after work to check it out and see if its better than this rustoleum junk. i mainly have a charcoal or dark grey interior and am soo tired of dodge's stupid decision to make the tan the standard on the upper half of the interior

Mopar sells the paint for doing the interior. I bought these when I thought of matching my dash to my pillars when I went with the pillar pods. This is for the 04s but is dark slate part #E05069094AA. Its for use on plastic and vinyl think it was $10 a can, bought it bout year and a half ago.

I've personally never tried to paint anything on the interior. But, like anything else I'd guess you'd have to prime it and/or use adhesion promoter.

The dealership had to order mine, kinda blew the guys mind when I gave him the part # lol. I have not srpayed mine yet but spoke to a guy in the back and he had used that before on dashes and said it held up good. Im with everyone else thinking the oil from our hands will strip the paint, and dye will stain your hand, kinda a catch 22. What color is your head liner?
