iPhone issues

I have an iPhone 6c that has worked on both my 2016 Powerwagon and my 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat. About 6-8 months ago, both radios stopped being able to accept and read out text messages. I can still send a text but not receive. Anyone else have similar issues?

Yep, it's ******** they provide you with a safety feature and then make you pay to use it. I ******* so many times about it, nothing ever done.

Subscription has nothing to do with the texts, that's a base feature. Have you tried re-pairing the phone/radio?

Yes. Many times. I’ve deleted the Bluetooth connection and redid it

When you have it paired, on the phone in the bluetooth settings click on the i icon next to the Uconnect and make sure that show notifications is enabled. This only works when they are actively paired

i don't think the unconnect subscription works the way you think with an iphone. Even without the subscription my truck still reads my texts to me on my galaxy S7, so it wouldn't be a subscription issue.

OP did you recently update the software on your phone?

One thing about uConnect is that it isn't available in Canada anyway. Haven't gone out to the truck or car this morning yet.

Yes, I usually update the software on my phone whenever a new version comes out. I had thought about that possibly being the issue but not heard of anyone else that had an issue.

maybe try deleting the pairing between the phone and the radio and set it up again.

is the firmware and software up to date on the radio? Did you try doing a soft reset on the radio?

Everything is stock on the radio. No updates. How do you do the soft reset on the radio.

Switched the Bluetooth to enabled. No change.

Went back out to the truck and messaging is now working. The Bluetooth setting must have needed to be re-established. Thank you very much chopperman1 and everyone else for all your help.

it does with android phones, but not iphone. Iphone you have to do it through siri on the radio
