My 2014 Ram 1500 has went thru 2 stock radios now. These are the stock radios with the 5inch by 3 inch screens with Sirius.
I bought the truck used 2 years ago. No big issues. fuel pump. belts .etc easy stuff, regular maintenance. except for around 4 months back
One day for some unknown reason my radio just stopped working. only went to the Sirius screen and stopped there nothing worked outta radio
pushed buttons yielded nothing. So went on ebay found another same radio out of newer truck (2016) installed worked great, now here at 4 months later radio goes out
time and compass all work but no volume control or sound, 2 days later all comes back, thena or 2 later all goes out again. Radio will work only when It wants to work.
My question if anyone knows what is a good replacement that I can get that will work in the stock dash that can replace this one with. and also correct wiring harness etc.
An easy installation for my unit. Thanks you in advance and for taking time to read my Post. Have a great day

You can try Crutchfield.com for aftermarket units. They will ask you to input some basic information about your truck and what you want from a new radio then give you a list of aftermarket radios that will fit. They will also include the needed T-harness wiring adapter along with detailed installation instructions. Pretty good company that I’ve used several times. They are authorized dealers for everything they sell. It may not sound like much but if the radio carries a one or two year warranty they will accept the broken unit and replace it with a new one without you having to go through the manufacturer. They typically supply return shipping labels and have records of your purchase to help facilitate an exchange. I’ve had to use this service twice and it was a pretty smooth process. Their pricing is retail but they run a lot of sales where you can get a good deal.
