is it a 5.9 or 5.2?? Help!!!!

I have 95 reg cab short bed Ram. I am getting the trans rebuilt and the tech seems to think the motor has been swapped. It says 5.9 on the core support and I have bought parts for a 5.9. Would the 360 parts fit the 318 motor is he just wrong?? Thanks in advance

I am almost 100% positive that aside from the internals of the motor, the 5.9 and 5.2 are the same (mechanically speaking).

Is there not a number on the block I can check?

Check above the starter on the block. I seem to recall a stamp there.

tis be on the block left hand side itll have a line of numbers and look for a 5.9 or 5.2 in the numbers
