It has the WORST voice recognition! Its just awful. I have the latest update. I can say things like "send message to ***(whoever) ", "reply to message 1", etc. Navigation is the worst. I speak as clearly as I can and point my mouth at the mic.

I get glitches too. I tried to add a song as a favorite a couple times now and it was all dimmed out (wouldnt let me select either add fav. song or add fav. artist). WTF! $1000 for this garbage! Am i missing something?

A lot of people are having issues after the latest firmware update with there radios getting glitches. If you are still under your 3/36 I would take it to the dealer and let them do a reset. That way if it bricks your radio it's on them. If it isn't under warranty you can try reloading the firmware again. Some people have disconnected there battery for 30 min or more to reset the radio. You can also do a factory reset by holding the temp up and down buttons at the same time. I have seen guys have worse results from doing the reset so that woukd be a last resort. Chrysler came up with this patch to correct the security issue and obviously didn't take the time to work the bugs out. My radio is working great now and my voice recognition works perfect but some others have not been able to correct the glitches as of yet. . Good luck.

There is actualy a thread that was just started by bubbasneed that says (Having Microphone Issues) if you scroll through and find that post there are other guys chiming in. There are also a lot of posts on 5.0 to 8.4 upgrade about this issue at the end of the thread. My radio actualy snapped out of it on its own after so many on off cycles. It seems to be a little different for everyone. Most of us have added these radios to our trucks so we have no dealer support. Some guys are thinking about trying to re install the 14 25.5 firmware which worked flawlessly but not sure if it will crash the radio. It's not your radio it's the half ass Firmware Chrysler came up with to fix a problem in a hurry. All of our radios worked great but of corse we all updated hoping to get more features in the newest version....MISTAKE!....Like I said if it's under warranty I would have the dealer try to fix it if they can't they will jut replace your radio. They might not admit it to you but you are not an isolated case. If you have no warranty I would wait a few days and get some on off cycles if that doesn't do it I woukd try disconnecting the battery . There doesn't seem to be any sure fire fix for this yet. Keep an eye on the posts I mentioned there are a lot of members trying to figure it out.
