Newbie here but I've been lurking for a while. I have a 2013 1500 Laramie Longhorn - great truck! I'm now on my 2nd 8.4AN radio and my 2nd console including the SD and USB. I had weird issues where the radio would freeze and it created 3 copies of every song on my USB and SD card. As well, the music would completely cut out if I opened the upper or lower console. I got the new radio and the problems still persisted. I just got the new console and everything seemed to work fine for 1 day. Now it says INSERT SD CARD even though the card is already in there. Then it will say DEVICE UNPLAYABLE - even though the card is fine. After I insert and remove the SD card a few times it eventually recognizes it.
As well, the a new problem is that now the Voice Recognition will not work for anything but a track number. If I say "Play Song Born To Run" (or whatever), it will display a yellow word "processing" and then it will say aloud "Playing Song Born To Run" - only it doesn't play Born To Run. It stays on the current song/artist that is playing. Very annoying. Anyone else having these issues and or know a fix for it? Supposedly this is the newest 8.4AN radio and I just got the latest flash updates on Friday.
